Trier Ostermarkt 2015

We've been Trier a bunch of times. We keep going back because it is close and they have different events going on during the year. Today we went to the Ostermarkt which is an Easter market. We had gone to one in our town earlier this month and was really disappointed by it but we decided to check out a few others to see if Easter markets are worth while.

 The market was packed and it took us a while to get into the city center and find parking. We haven't attended a market on a Saturday and I knew it was going to be busy but I wasn't expecting the line to get into the city.

 They had stand with flowers and fresh fruit. As well as stands with Easter decorations and jewelry and scarves.

 We walked around the market for a bit and saw everything in about 30 minutes. It was quite small and again I was disappointed in it.

 The best part of our trip was the bacon wrapped bratwurst we had for lunch it was delicious and was about a foot long.

The market had food stands and a wine area and a swing ride for children. All in all it was a nice little trip to get us out of the house but we only spent about an hour there. We won't be going back to the Trier Easter market in the future.
