Nordic Trail 2015

Spring has finally sprung in Germany. Today was a beautiful day with a high of 50 and a rare treat the sun was shining. We had to get out of the house an enjoy the weather so Bill and I went on a walk on the Nordic trail  that is near our house. We started our walk up the trail and there were no trail markers but there was only one way to go so we went. While we were walking we started hearing what sounded like a chain saw. It was. We eventually walked up on a guy chopping down the trees on the side of the path. After we passed by him I told Bill this is how horror movies start and he told me I was the one who wanted to leave the house. We kept walking straight we finally came to an intersection two ways had no signs but the other had the nordic trail sign that pointed to the trails. So we decided to go that way. We took the blue trail because it was shorter. We ended up on another unmarked trail but we managed to find our way back to the intersection where we started and made our way back to the car.

                                                                  View of the trail

A little shelter to get out of the rain or snow or just to relax for a little bit while on your hike.

Random Jesus statue on the trail. Maybe to pray you find your way back to the car?

This will definitely be something we will make a habit of doing. Next time I want to try out the red trail. It was a lovely free thing to do on a sunny day in Germany.
