As we approach the Easter holiday many towns in Germany have an Ostermarkt which translates to Easter Market. Today in the town we live in they had a combination Ostermarkt and Flohmarkt which is a flea market. In Germany they have streets which are called family streets where you can drive but you also have families walking and such. Some look like roads and some are more like squares. Well the markets took place in most of the family streets towards the center of the town. For the flohmarkt portion they had many people set up along the side of the road with tables and stands selling antiques and other odds and ends. In the center of town they had an amusement park like ride for children. The type with the cars that go around in a circle like a merry go round. They also had some beer and food stands as well as a balloon dart game were you could win prizes.

The market wasn't very big and I was a little disappointed with the lack of easter things considering it was an easter market. They had a lot more flea market stands then they had easter. Im definitely glad we took the time to check it out since all we had to do was walk outside our door. We plan to go to a few more Ostermarkt this month in combination with some other sights I have planned out.
